Colored Pencil Class

Participants will learn the many versatile ways of creating vibrant colored pencil drawings on different surfaces. Students learn how to mix and blend colors by layering using both traditional colored pencils and sometimes watercolor pencils and learn the elements of drawing as well as working more efficiently with value and color. Each week will be a different set up and we will work from still life set ups or photos.

Materials needed: Set of at least 36 Prismacolor Colored Pencils, #2 pencil for sketching, kneaded eraser, small sketchbook, battery operated or hand held pencil sharpener. I supply subject and paper.
Some drawing experience is helpful. 6 week class.

Participants in this class will learn the many versatile ways of creating vibrant colored-pencil drawings on different surfaces. Students learn how to mix and blend colors by layering, using both traditional and colored pencils. We will learn the elements of drawing, working with value and color. Each week will be a different setup, including drawing outside if weather permits.
